Thursday, November 15 is National Children’s Grief Awareness Day

Children's Grief Awareness Month was born out of the spirit of community. During the month of November, you can show your support for those who are grieving. You can stand alongside those who are doing the difficult work of rebuilding their lives, and let them know you see them, you hear them, and you care. When families enter our doors, they come to grieve and to remember. Although their hearts are broken, they find the support they need to begin the process of rebuilding, arm in arm with others who have experienced similar losses. Hope is evident in each of the group sessions. As each child shares, others are reminded that they do not walk this path alone. They are surrounded by peers navigating unique, yet similar journeys. We do not get over grief, but together, we find our way through it.

Together we keep moving forward. We keep rebuilding. We keep hoping.
