Lost & Found Grief Center provides help, hope, and healing.

1 in 10 children in Missouri will experience the death of a parent or sibling before they graduate high school. Children’s Grief Awareness Day is designed to help us all become more aware of the needs of grieving children and of the benefits they obtain through the support of others. Children’s Grief Awareness Day is an opportunity to make sure that grieving children receive the support they need. Together we can create a grief-sensitive society that compassionately meets the needs of the bereaved.

The power of hope is strong.

When someone in the home dies, everything in their world changes. It is about so much more than sadness. Children and teens who are grieving walk around carrying their worries like a heavy backpack, waiting for someone to help them unload those feelings.

Grief is a natural reaction to death for children and teens. During the month of November, we are asking schools and businesses to partner with us to raise awareness. Together we can remind children and teens they’re not alone in their grief and that reminder brings hope.
