We had an amazing evening at our 1st Annual Lost & Found Memorial Balloon Release. It was a beautiful, moving, and emotional sight to see nearly 2000 balloons released in memory of precious loved ones. This event was a healing experience for many people and we know that it will continue to be part of the kickoff to Memorial Day weekend in our community for years to come. As the balloons drifted into the sky it was sobering to know that each balloon represented a life that is missed. Each balloon that was sent up carried memories and thoughts of love. When balloons were ordered we asked if there was someone it should be released in memory of. To honor those lives we have listed the names we received below:

We are pleased to announce that this release raised over $10,000 to support the work Lost & Found does with grieving families. Each dollar donated and minute volunteered to make this event a success will impact the lives of families in our community. Lost & Found is deeply appreciative of each gift. We would also like to recognize Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home and Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home as the sponsors for our event. A special note of thanks also goes out to Fisk Limousines for transporting our inflated balloons to the release site and to Praxair for generously donating the helium needed for the balloons.
