Facilitator Training
Our training program is a two day event, designed to prepare you to become a volunteer facilitator with our families for the upcoming school year. To be approved to work in our groups you will need to
attend both days of training. We also require that you participate in the observation of a couple of groups before becoming an active facilitator. When groups are underway, a Lost & Found staff counselor will participate in groups along with the volunteer facilitators. This provides additional support and expertise for the group and ensures both the children and the facilitators have the support they need. To offer a stable environment for our children, we do ask those who complete our training to make a
one year commitment as a facilitator with the group they are assigned.
We recognize that our kids and our facilitators need breaks from group throughout the year. To help facilitate that and keep some continuity for our children, the Lost & Found schedule has been built to mirror the school year. When the kids have a break from school our groups take a break as well. Please give us a call or send an email if you have any questions.
The next training will be
Friday, September 14, 2012, from 5:30-8:30pm and
Saturday, September 15th, 2012 8:30-4:00pm.
