3rd Annual Memorial Balloon Release & 5K Run/Walk
Releasing Grief & Celebrating Lives
The 3rd Annual Memorial Balloon Release and 5K Run/Walk is Thursday, May 24th at Jordan Valley Park! Last year, more than 800 people attended the event. We released approximately 2,000 environmentally friendly balloons, each representing a life that is loved and missed. We had more than 400 5K participants, many running in memory of their loved ones. We are expecting another great turnout.
Balloon Pick Up/Sales will start at 5:45pm. We will have a short program at 6:15pm and release the balloons at 6:30pm. The 5K will start at 7:00pm.
Ways to get Involved

Purchase a Balloon: To purchase your $10 environmentally friendly, please click on the "Donate Now" button at the top of the screen and select Memorial Balloon Release in the program designation. The list of memorials will be listed on Web site.
Run or Walk in the 5K: To register for the 5K, please visit

Help Sell Balloons: You can help by checking out balloon order forms from the Lost & Found office and sell them to your family, friends, or colleagues. Contact our office at (417) 865-9998.
Spread the Word: Help us get the word out about this beautiful event by posting on your Facebook, Twitter, etc. Send an e-mail to your contacts letting them know how they can purchase a balloon and register for the 5K.
