4th Annual Memorial Balloon Release & 5K Run/Walk
Releasing Grief & Celebrating Lives
The 4th Annual Memorial Balloon Release and 5K Run/Walk is Thursday, May 23rd! The Balloon Release will take place at the Springfield Cardinals Stadium at Hammons Field, and the 5K Run/Walk will be at Jordan Valley Park. Last year, more than 1,000 people attended the event. We released approximately 2,000 environmentally friendly balloons, each representing a life that is loved and missed. We had more than 500 5K participants, many running in memory of their loved ones. We are expecting another great turnout.
Balloon Pick Up/Sales will start at 5:45pm. We will have a short program and release balloons at 6:15pm. Please allow ample time to pick up balloons and move to the field for the release. The 5K will start at 7:00pm.

As well, you are invited to be a part of the Memorial Balloon Release After Party at Springfield Brewing Company from 7-10 pm.
Ways to get Involved

Purchase a Balloon: To purchase your $10 environmentally friendly, please click
here and select Memorial Balloon Release in the program designation. The list of memorials will be listed on Web site.
Recognize your Loved Ones on the Memorial Banner: Honor your loved one by adding their name to our memorial banner. It is $100 for up to two names on the banner as well as two balloons. All entries must be received at the Lost & Found office by 5 p.m. on April 22, 2013.
Run or Walk in the 5K: To register for the 5K, please register
online or print off a registration form

Help Sell Balloons: You can help by checking out balloon order forms from the Lost & Found office and sell them to your family, friends, or colleagues. Contact our office at (417) 865-9998.
Spread the Word: Help us get the word out about this beautiful event by posting on your Facebook, Twitter, etc. Send an e-mail to your contacts letting them know how they can purchase a balloon and register for the 5K.
