Lost & Found Grief Center has plenty of ways to get involved as a volunteer in our groups, at events, or with building maintenance. Whether you volunteer for a single event, help monthly, or commit to a year, your gift of time will transform the lives of Lost & Found Grief Center children and families. We cannot do it without you!

Be a Greeter

As a greeter you will be welcoming our families as they come through the doors for group. We have open enrollment at Lost & Found Grief Center, so new families are joining on a weekly basis. Seeing your friendly face as they walk in will ease their nerves and make them feel welcome. This volunteer need is from 5:45-6:45 twice a month and we are currently in need of several for this position. It is a great introduction to the wonderful families that come to Lost & Found Grief Center.

Become a Facilitator

Facilitators assist the group coordinator with the night’s activity and interact with the children or parents. This opportunity provides you with the chance to help mend the heart of grieving children and families. No prior counseling experienced is required for facilitators.

Requirements

  • Attend professional training
  • Make one year commitment to being a facilitator
  • Able to be in group twice a month

Join an Event Committee

Each of our events are planned by our event coordinators and an amazing team of committee members. Our events would not be possible without the help of these volunteers. If you enjoy being a part of a team and would like to help plan, promote, and find sponsors for an upcoming event we would love to have you!

Helping with Building Maintenance

Volunteers are always needed to help us keep our space beautiful inside and out. We often have needs like touch-up painting, groundskeeping, and odd jobs around the office.
