A Unique Volunteer OpportunityLost & Found could not operate our programs without our dedicated volunteers. In addition, unlike most social service agencies, we receive no support from federal, state or local governments, no insurance reimbursement or third party payments, and we do not charge fees. Families contribute as they are able, but no child is ever turned away. Our program is completely reliant on contributions. We rely on a variety of volunteers to provide the free services to our families: - Group Facilitator: Work with children, teen, or adult support groups at Lost & Found. A one year commitment and training class is required.
- Greeter: Welcome families as they arrive for group & assist with sign-in process. Greeters arrive 30 minutes before group starts and remain until group has started.
- Playroom Maintenance: Assist L&F by doing light housework and organization for groups. This volunteer position is flexible upon the volunteer’s schedule.
- Lawn Care/Maintenance: Assist in landscaping, seasonal clean-up, as well as regular lawn maintenance.
- Newsletters/Mailings: Assist on an as-needed basis with labeling and mailing newsletters.
- Office Assistant: Assist with answering the phone, filing, and projects around the office.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist with minor repairs and upkeep on building; various "handyman" jobs.
